Welch Allyn and Haag-Streit are trademarks of their respective owners. Their names and part numbers are used here to identify which instruments each lamp fits. Compatible lamps are not made by or affiliated with these manufacturers.
Genuine or compatible
For each lamp we can supply the genuine manufacturer part or a compatible equivalent that fits the same instrument. We quote the option that gives you the best balance of price and availability at the time, and the quote always states which one it is. If you need genuine parts only, for example because your Trust specifies them, just say so and we will quote genuine.
Welch Allyn lamp codes come in a few forms. The -U suffix is a single lamp, -U6 is a pack of six, and -LED is the LED upgrade version where Welch Allyn makes one. The WA prefix is a common shorthand. Codes such as H141 and P031 are equivalents for the same lamp. All of them are covered here, so whichever code you search for, you are in the right place.
The Haag-Streit 900 series slit lamp bulb sits on a perforated focusing flange that sets the filament position. Fit it the same way round as the bulb it replaces and avoid touching the glass.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply genuine Welch Allyn lamps or compatible ones?
Both. For every lamp on this page we can supply the genuine Welch Allyn part or a compatible equivalent that fits the same instruments. Your quote states clearly which one you are getting. If your department requires genuine parts only, tell us when you ask for a quote.
Are 03100, 03100-U and WA03100 the same lamp?
Yes. 03100-U is the Welch Allyn part number, and 03100 and WA03100 are common ways of writing it. 03100-U6 is the same lamp in a pack of six. The same pattern applies to 03000, 04900, 06500 and 07800.
What are H082, H141, H154, P030, P031, P049, P065 and P078?
They are equivalent codes for lamps that replace the Welch Allyn 03000, 03100, 04900, 06500 and 07800. The table on this page shows which code matches which lamp. Order using whichever code you have.
What is the difference between the -U and -LED versions?
The -U lamps are the original halogen versions. Welch Allyn also makes LED upgrade lamps for several of these instruments, which run cooler and last longer. Check with us before switching, because suitability depends on your handle and power source.
Are HS366, HY366, 900-930 and H049 the same slit lamp bulb?
Yes. They are different references for the same 6V bulb used in Haag-Streit 900 series slit lamps. As with the hand held lamps, we can quote genuine or compatible and the quote will say which.
How do I make sure I order the right lamp?
Give us the code printed on the old lamp, or the make and model of the instrument. If you are unsure, send a photo through Find My Lamp or call 01494 838 389 and we will confirm it.
Do you accept NHS purchase orders?
Yes. We supply NHS Trusts, GP practices, eye departments and private clinics across the UK and accept NHS purchase orders.
Not sure which lamp you need?
Send us the code from the old lamp or the instrument make and model, and we will confirm the right replacement and quote it.
