Carbon Reduction Plan

Pro UV Lamps Ltd is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a sustainable future.

Our Commitment

Pro UV Lamps Ltd is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, consistent with the UK government's legally binding target. This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out our approach to measuring, reducing and offsetting our carbon emissions, covering our own operations, our supply chain, and the products and services we provide to our customers.

Baseline Emissions

Pro UV Lamps Ltd is currently establishing a baseline measurement of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the three internationally recognised scopes:

Scope 1

Direct Emissions

Fuel combustion in company vehicles and heating

Scope 2

Indirect Energy

Electricity purchased and consumed in our premises

Scope 3

Value Chain

Supply chain logistics, business travel, product use and disposal

Our Reduction Commitments

Energy Efficiency in Operations

We are committed to reducing energy consumption across our business operations. This includes transitioning to LED lighting throughout our facilities, optimising heating and cooling systems, and encouraging energy-conscious behaviour among all staff. We regularly review energy usage data to identify further reduction opportunities.

Logistics & Supply Chain

We work to consolidate shipments, optimise delivery routes, and select logistics partners with strong environmental credentials. Where possible, we favour suppliers and hauliers who operate low-emission vehicles or have made measurable commitments to reducing their own carbon footprints.

Our Premises

Our facility at Centauri House, High Wycombe is managed with sustainability in mind. We aim to reduce waste sent to landfill, increase recycling rates, and minimise unnecessary resource consumption. Packaging materials are selected to be recyclable where possible.

Product Portfolio

UV-C germicidal technology plays a key role in reducing the need for chemical disinfectants, which carry their own environmental burden. By promoting energy-efficient lamp technologies, including amalgam lamps with lower mercury content and long-life options, we help our customers reduce their own environmental impact.

Measuring & Reporting

We are in the process of establishing a baseline measurement of our carbon emissions across Scope 1 and Scope 2 categories, and will develop a roadmap to achieve meaningful reductions in line with the UK government's net zero target. We commit to transparent reporting of our progress.

Our Net Zero Commitment

Pro UV Lamps Ltd is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with the UK government's national target. We recognise this is a long-term journey and commit to taking incremental, measurable steps, reducing our emissions year on year and investing in credible offset programmes where direct reduction is not yet possible.

Declaration

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been compiled in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the GHG Reporting Protocol Corporate Standard and uses the GHG Reporting Protocol Scope 2 Guidance, along with conversion factors from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
